DeviantART is Stock Images?

Does it cross anyone's mind that DeviandART is really a glorified stock image website in which some really naive artists actually pay a membership to have their images ripped off by the general public? I say this as a once paying member. Not to ruffle feathers but my experience here has supported that to be true of myself and many other artists.
